The 3rd GREATEST come back in franchise history. I gotta write something about it! I'm glad that I didn't turn it off after the first half. It was probably the best half of basketball I've seen since Shaq arrived in the Valley of the Suns. Great GREAT game indeed (ugly 1st half though).
Shaq and Amare, our frontcourt duo, combined for 61 points!!
And dig this:
Amare + Shaq + Nash
31/53 FG, 58.5%
8/12 3pt FG, 66.7%
27/30 FT, 90.0%
Just hop on the back of your superstars and let them take over.
Suns 81 - Nuggets 47 second half. Suns shooting 71% after shooting just 30% for 51 points in the 1st half. Down as many as 22 points and won by 15 at the end. Unreal. Un-freakin'-believable!
It took a hit in Nash's face by Carter to wake the whole damn team up, but they did step up in the 2nd half. Eddie Johnsom kept making lame excuses about being the 1st game after a long road trip and that's BS. You can come out a bit flat, but that's not an excuse. At some point you gotta pick your energy up.
BTW, Nash is 8-11 from three, unreal.
Eat it. Mouse.

I don't usually post/blog much during game because I want to focus on the game. But I happened to post some during this game and this is a great game so I'll post my game log. Language alert. LOL.

I for one am not surprise by Hill's injury. He's been playing huge minutes and that's a recipe for disaster consider his history. He's been great, but we still can't treat him like he's an all-star in his prime.
We need to go to the bench early this game.

WTF Shaq, you ain't going to run the break for this team...

39-25 Denver after the 1st. no Defense. no urgency. We are getting our asses KICKED. Barbosa+Bell+Diaw combining for a whopping 0 for 12 = the suck.
They need to pull their collective heads out of their asses. They are being shown up. Has coach ever heard of exploiting a mismatch? He and the team really fucked themselves towards the end of the 1st when they settled for jumpers and Barbosa made play after bone headed play forcing the offense in a piss poor manner. Add to the fact that Boris is playing like a pre pubescent girl and you have all the makings of getting the shit kicked out of you. Suns need to wake up, play some defense and work the ball down low on offense.

I want to slap Amare in his face...BOX THE F**K OUT!!!!!!!!

Yank Amare and bring in Skinner. How lazy can this guy get? After the airball by Camby, how the fuck can he just stand there, watch Martin grab the rebound, and dunk it. This is ass.

STFU with the 'first game back from a road trip' excuse, EJ. There's no excuse to play like a bunch of lazy pig out there. No focus whatsoever on both ends and we're suppose to get HCA in the 1st round

And let see some DJ and Skin this quarter. It's inexcusable when they're playing this badly to only go seven deep. I can't think of a single half-decent reason why you wouldn't go further down the bench.

F the refs the MVP gets no respect!!! Now Nash is way pissed. Nice. You could just tell as Nash brought the ball up and the pick was set that he was going to pull up and nail the 3 after getting hit in the face.
LETS DO THIS SUNS!!

I think the Nuggs may have woken up the Suns with that foul on Nash.

Posted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 4:18 am
Who woulda thunk this was the same game we were watching before?
Crowds on their feet, Nuggets starting to panick, Shaq coming alive and great passing in the last six minutes!
If the Suns can pull this out, it would be huge, considering how poorly they played to start the game.
Posted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 4:19 am
if the suns play like they did in the first half anyone can beat them.
if the suns play like they have in the second half no one can beat them.

This is incredible. That's what I'm talking about! This is the energy and effort and HEART
1st game back from road trip isnt an excuse. You can come out a bit flat but you gotto pick it up at some point.
And they did.
LETS DO IT SUNS

i wonder when teams will figure out that amare ALWAYS drives to his right when he gets it at the top of the key?
a team like the spurs will stop that come playoffs
I think that's why they do that dbl screen. Because Nash goes left to Shaq's screen and Amare's defender has to go left to compensate for if Shaq gets the ball. That means when Nash goes to Amare the right is open straight away and he doesn't need much time once he bounces the ball.
Posted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 4:30 am
I must say we have looked great offensive all game but our D is what really stepped it up in the last quarter.
Posted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 5:20 am
Seriously, you gotta worry about the officiating in the playoffs, we're the Suns and we don't get benefit of the doubt EVER. We have like 6-7 techs over the last 2 games even Hill got T'ed up several times. WTF. Nash, a 2-time MVP, can't get a charge. They call a whack foul on Amare, a 1st team all-NBA center, when he clearly went straight up and Shaq, a HOF center, helped out with the block and got a BS call.
