I think the walls are closing in on him. He's not a tactician, Xs and Os guy. He's a philosophy guy and thats not working with the personnel now. He's got a freakin' stacked team, moreso than ever really, with great balance inside and out and an interior presence defensively, and can't get it done. Yea, some of it falls on the players, but the coach always gets the chop. It's always a players league. It's probably management's fault tho by not replacing Ivaroni with an Xs and Os guy on the bench. We moved Gentry into that spot and added Jay Humphries. I don't know that either guy really fits that bill and I think our scouting of WC opponents has suffered, as Ivaroni used ot scout the top teams. 


The "We're here to win a championship," he said. "We're not here to develop players." statement should seal his fate. Thats complete and utter BS. He says you play your best players to win the game, then why don't teams just run their starters all game? It's not about playing your absolute best players, its about getting the right lineups and matchups out there. 


Funny tho, how Detroit has drafted well and finds time for young guys like Amir Johnson, Aaron Afflalo, Rodney Stuckey, Jarvis Hayes and Jason Maxiell.


Funny, how Dallas took time to develop Diop and Harris while contending, have added Brandon Bass to the mix.



Funny how the jazz have been able to develop and use guys like Brewer and Millsap.


The Celts have a 2nd year PG (who we traded to them no less) running the show on a contending team.



I'm officially done with Mike.



It was a fun ride, but he's a one-trick pony who built a reputation off of Nash and being a player-friendly coach. I actually think the players would be better off coaching themselves at this point. Like how Westpaul took over and basically deferred to the players during the championship run. Gentry might have more success than Mike at this point. But I guess it's just too late in the season to make such a drastic change. 



And while we're at it, fire Kerr too.




How can you give up two first round picks to trade away a player in the last year of his contract? Those are COMMODITIES in this league. How about you don't break up a team that was a game away from winning the whole thing? How do you not get a draft pick from Miami that was soooo desperate to get Shaq off the books? Now Kerr is having trouble bringing free agents here. What's our future going to be? Why do you fuck things up in the middle of what to be considered a championship run? We could've Rasheed Wallace, we could've Marcus Camby, but he had to settle for Shaq and nothing else.
